VA-7379 Tube Preamp Schematic

VA-7379 Tube Preamp Schematic

I originally posted that schematic on groupdiy forum, inspired by another forum member, Rock Soderstrom, as a way to introduce myself a little more personally to the community, along with presenting a design of mine. Here's what i said:

These two last years of my life have been my toughest yet:
I went thru being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and it took me these two years to circle that matter!
I didn't do that alone, i did that with the help of my family, of my psychologist, and of my muses
I understood in January this year that this cycle was over, and that a new chapter had begun, right around the day of my two years anniversary with Valentine, my psychologist.
I'm super happy that i took this path, the path of truth as i call it, and that it can find its closure in love.
I found what i was searching for, i'm very grateful for it, and i wish it to everyone.

I want to introduce this by saying that my stuff will never be a clone of anything, it's made in France in 2026, not in the USA in the 70s, nor in Germany in the 40s, so you know what it is!

I'm only trying to sound like myself, and surprising myself while doing it, seeing known things under a new angle, marveling at the beauty of music, how impactful it can be, while hopefully inspiring others!

I love that activity because it teaches us a lot about life, and the lessons it teaches us are valuable in all fields! Even for coding, i don't understand how people can code without knowing the analog world!

I always say that i never to want to rob anyone of his existence, and here as well.
A shortcut won't allow you to understand what you can understand, and thus the real satisfaction and the pure enjoyment you can get from it, when you surprise yourself, if you take 'the longer road' :)

It's not that much longer, tubes aren't a mystery and they're very forgiving. I find it marvelous that they're working on usb-c!
There is no snake oil when you do the stuff yourself, it's only really well done components being musically voiced together until it gives you the energy you want from it, with the controls and output levels that are suited to your needs.

Last but not least, let me explain the name of the preamp, VA-7379:
VA, are the initials of my psychologist, she's one of my protective and inspirative figures, it's another way to celebrate what we've done together already with reality / in reality
73, my landlord has inspired me the most beautiful music i've made in my life, this is her birth year, and fittingly here, it's also the cathode voltage (of course i made sure it was that)
79, birth year of my good friend Heidi that inspired me so much since i've known her, and my brother.

You understand why i used 179 B+ now as well. Everything i do is like that, tied to people / memories that i want to remember in everything i do!

Here are demo sound files of the preamp so you can listen to it:
