Lunar-89 Tube Preamp Schematic

Here's an ECC189 based pre

It's a tube i've used mostly in vari-mu compressors, i always found it sounded great in compressors, and always wanted to try it as a regular triode.

I think it sounds super good in this simple circuit! I was glad i could use it like that!

I'm attaching you sound files, schematic and Rew screen cap, build state: i unsoldered it already!

Edit: i've resoldered it to relisten to it 'live', and it sounds simply beautiful.
Coming to it, I had too many expectations because i loved it from the compressors, and my first contact with it was disappointing lol

I'm adding another recording of a Siemens ECC189, it has less low end than Dario ones made in Uk, and it makes it give the right amount of everything.

It's interesting, creativity is the same in every domains. Sometimes you 'struggle' on something, and even the next day you will keep in mind the struggle, no matter if you succeeded.
Soldering it from the schematic and relistening to it felt great! Now i can only have in mind that it's a super great sounding tube even for preamps!
Thus i'm adding a photo of the current build state, it deserves it, it sounds beautiful!
